Imagine walking through the bustling streets of Tokyo, navigating your way to the famous Sensoji Temple.
You needed to stop by the train station (駅, eki) and a bus stop (バス停, basutei) to get there. Maybe you stop at a restaurant (レストラン, resutoran) on the way.
As you continue your adventure, you find yourself needing to ask for directions to the nearest convenience store (コンビニ, konbini) or figuring out how to tell the taxi driver to take you to your hotel (ホテル, hoteru). Maybe you’re looking for a specific item in a shop or trying to understand a street sign.
On the way home, you decide to stop by a nearby park (公園, kouen) to relax. You notice a group of locals eating food (食べ物, tabemono) at a cafe.
You decide to leave the park (公園, kouen) and head to the nearby train station (駅, eki). At the station, you buy a ticket (切符, kippu) for your journey. After a quick ride, you arrive at your hotel (ホテル, hoteru) and head to your room (部屋, heya).
Feeling a bit hungry, you consider stopping by the convenience store (コンビニ, konbini) nearby before settling in for the night.
